Ordering

Beef

$5.50/lb

We have a simple “all inclusive” pricing model that is based hanging weight of the animal.  Your price includes all fees that are normally charged by the butcher (processor).  Whole and half beef purchases require a risk-free* deposit of $500/$250. We occasionally sell ground beef by the pound and other cuts based on the inventory of our individual beef stock.  Beef by the quarter is priced in the same model as the whole/half. Smaller quantities are priced at the per-cut price. We work with a range of butchers and also offer (and encourage) on-farm dispatch.

Our Beef Processing 101 page describes the process from ordering to pick up in more detail.

The whole/half/quarter price for 2019 is $5.50/lb of hanging weight.

Lamb/Goat

Starting at $200

Lamb & goat are a flat $300/animal if done at a processor, $200 if you do it yourself or arrange to process on your own. We will gladly assist in the dispatch here on the farm if you opt for the DIY route. It is the most humane choice for the animal.

Dairy

Cow milk is $5 a gallon.

Goat milk is $6 a half gallon.

Raw milk or unpasteurized milk is milk that has not been pasteurized, a process of heating liquid foods to decontaminate them for safe drinking. Proponents of raw milk have stated that there are benefits to its consumption, including better flavor, better nutrition, and the building of a healthy immune system. Our entire family enjoys fresh raw milk.

*Our risk-free deposit: If for some unfortunate reason your animal can’t make it to market, you get your deposit back. If he does make it to market but for some unfortunate reason you can’t complete the transaction, we keep the deposit. It is for the animal’s sake, not ours.
